How much does a ride cost?
The price depends on distance and ride type. A Solo ride starts at 3,000 BIF pickup plus 900 BIF per kilometre. A Hamwe seat costs about a quarter of the Solo price. The exact price always shows before you confirm, and it doesn't change.
How do I pay?
Cash to the driver, Lumicash or EcoCash, or your company's account. For mobile money, you type the transaction reference in the app and Genda confirms it.
I don't have the app. Can I book?
Yes. Write “Hello” to +257 66 53 64 18 on WhatsApp, send your location, then where you're going. Same prices, same drivers, same ride code.
Which areas do you cover?
All of Bujumbura: City centre, Rohero, Kinindo, Kamenge, Ngagara, Buyenzi, Bwiza, Nyakabiga, Musaga, Kanyosha, Kinama, Kinanira and the airport. With Solo, the driver comes to your exact position.
How do I know it's the right driver?
The app shows the driver's name, photo and plate. You give them your 4-digit ride code: without it, the ride can't start.
